Starting a new Squarespace website

I’ve been thinking about how to get my artsy side out there into the world for a few years now. There are so many website-building platforms out there to choose from, the decision was, to say the least, bamboozling!

Do you go for the cheapest? the most well-known? one that offers the best flexibility? The choices seemed endless . . . It didn’t take me too long, however, to discover a number of artists, photographers and creatives use Squarespace. Therefore, I have made the decision to give Squarespace a go and see where it takes me on my renewed artistic journey.

My plan at the moment, though rather undefined, is to use Squarespace as a Portfolio for some of my work. Recently, I’ve been doing a lot of watercolour but currently am experimenting once again with Oils, which I haven’t played around with in nearly thirty years!! Ouch! Nothing like art to remind you how old you’re getting.

I have just started my own Squarespace website (Sept 2023) - it is relatively user friendly for beginners in web design though I imagine my site probably has a few kinks I still need to straighten out. I decided to add the Blog option as a way to further develop my practice and to share it with anyone who happens to be interested.
